Introduction

Welcome to Turning Point Church of Galveston, a vibrant community of believers dedicated to spreading the grace of God. Our faith and beliefs are the foundation of who we are as a church. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels welcome, and together we pursue a transformative journey of faith.

Our Core Values

At Turning Point Church, our core values guide our actions and shape our community. We believe in:

  • Faith: We place our trust in God and seek to grow in our personal relationship with Him.
  • Grace: We embrace the unmerited favor of God and extend it to others, demonstrating love and forgiveness.
  • Community: We foster a sense of belonging, unity, and support for one another. We believe in the power of genuine relationships.
  • Service: We actively engage in serving others, both within our church family and in the wider community, following Jesus' example.
  • Biblical Truth: We wholeheartedly believe in the authority and relevance of the Bible in guiding our lives and doctrine.

Our Beliefs

As followers of Jesus Christ, we hold to the following foundational beliefs:

1. The Trinity

We believe in the triune nature of God, comprising the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. Each distinct person of the Trinity possesses equal attributes and co-exists eternally.

2. Salvation by Grace

We believe that salvation is a result of God's grace alone, not earned through works or personal effort. It is a free gift available to all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

3. Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully human and fully divine. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross to atone for humanity's sins, and rose from the dead, triumphing over sin and death. Through His sacrifice, we have eternal life and reconciliation with God.

4. The Bible

We affirm the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God, serving as our ultimate authority for faith and practice. We believe in its completeness and reliability in revealing God's character, purpose, and redemptive plan for humanity.

5. The Church

The Church is the body of Christ, comprised of all believers, and Jesus is its head. We gather together to worship, participate in fellowship, and equip one another for growth and service. Additionally, we are called to witness to the world and make disciples of all nations.

Our mission is to spread the grace of God and actively engage in transforming lives through faith in Jesus Christ. We strive to create a nurturing environment for spiritual growth, empowering believers to impact their communities and make a difference in the world.
