Introduction

Welcome to the Early Childhood Ministries (ECM) of Turning Point Church of Galveston! Our ECM program is dedicated to providing a nurturing and loving environment where children can grow in love, faith, and knowledge. We offer a variety of programs designed to support families, promote early childhood development, and build a strong foundation of faith.

Our Mission and Values

At Turning Point Church of Galveston, we believe that children are a precious gift from God. Our mission is to guide them on their spiritual journey, fostering their personal, social, and cognitive development. We strive to create a safe and inclusive space where children feel valued and loved, helping them develop a strong sense of self-worth and faith.

Our core values are centered around love, compassion, respect, and inclusivity. We aim to build a community that celebrates diversity and encourages children to embrace their unique identities. Through our ECM program, we foster an environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.

Programs

1. Early Learning Center (ELC)

Our Early Learning Center (ELC) is designed to provide a stimulating and educational experience for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old. We follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum that focuses on the holistic growth of each child. Our highly skilled and caring staff members are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

The ELC program incorporates age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development. Through play-based learning, children are encouraged to explore, question, and discover the world around them. We believe in cultivating a love for learning from an early age and providing a strong foundation for future academic success.

2. Sunday School

Our Sunday School program is designed to introduce children to Bible stories, values, and teachings in a fun and engaging way. We offer age-appropriate classes where children can learn about the love of God and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Through interactive lessons, arts and crafts, and meaningful discussions, we aim to help children understand and apply biblical principles in their daily lives.

3. Faith-based Events and Activities

In addition to our regular programs, we also organize various faith-based events and activities throughout the year. These include holiday celebrations, family picnics, and community service projects. These events provide opportunities for families to come together, connect with one another, and strengthen their faith.

How ECM Supports the Community

As a community-focused ministry, ECM is committed to supporting families and the larger community. We believe in collaborating with local organizations and churches to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. Some of the ways we contribute to the community include:

1. Outreach Programs

We actively participate in outreach programs that aim to address the needs of underprivileged children and families in our community. Through partnerships with local shelters, food banks, and other organizations, we provide assistance and support to those in need.

2. Parent Support Groups

We understand that parenting can be challenging, and that's why we offer parent support groups where parents can connect with and learn from one another. These groups provide a platform for sharing experiences, seeking advice, and building a strong network of support within the community.

3. Volunteer Opportunities

We encourage our ECM families and church members to actively participate in volunteer opportunities within the community. By engaging in acts of service, we aim to instill in our children the importance of compassion, empathy, and actively caring for others.

Conclusion

At Turning Point Church of Galveston's Early Childhood Ministries (ECM), our focus is on creating a loving, nurturing, and faith-filled environment where children can learn, grow, and develop their unique gifts and talents.
